ABOUT US

A 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, Operation Our Town is a partnership between business and the community aimed at taking back our neighborhoods from drugs and related violent crime through law enforcement and proven treatment and prevention techniques.


Vision:   Our town...A great place to live.

Goal:      Take back our neighborhoods.

   Supported efforts include:
 
Operation Our Town accepts donations from businesses, civic organizations and individuals.

Donations are used to award grants twice a year specifically to fund efforts in our community proven to reduce both the supply and demand for illegal drugs.  All nonprofit organizations, schools and government agencies in the communities of Blair County are eligible to apply for grants.

 

  • Targeted law enforcement and prosecution

  • Proven treatment programs focused on reducing recidivism (repeat offences)

  • Proven education aimed at prevention of drug use.

Operation Our Town roundtable groups are working on many critical focus areas, including housing, K-12 education, higher education, faith-based initiatives, volunteers, gangs, pharmacies, hotels/restaurants, retail, government, law enforcement, criminal/judiciary, health, human services, marketing and blight.
